About this tool
A free text symbols copy and paste library
Text symbols are Unicode characters you copy like letters — not stickers, screenshots, or a font you have to install. A heart, a star, a gothic letter, a flower, or a cute kaomoji is real text, so it pastes into Instagram, Discord, WhatsApp, Facebook, Docs, Photoshop, Clipchamp, and HTML. This site is a free text symbols copy and paste tool: search the library, tap a glyph, and it is on your clipboard in one click.
If you have been hunting for copy and paste text symbols to decorate a username or caption, keep this page open as your text symbols list. Browse heart text symbols, star text symbols, flower text symbols, fancy letters, gothic and goth text symbols, cute text symbols copy and paste, and text emoji. Need an image? Download a PNG from the inspector. High-intent hubs: text symbols copy paste, special characters, fancy text generator, guides, plus hearts, stars, kaomoji, letters, and text emoji.
On Discord? Try the Discord fancy text generator or Discord symbols copy and paste for names, channels and bios.
What this text symbols tool does
Free Text Symbols is a searchable Unicode catalog plus a small workbench. Search by name, keyword, or code point (heart, star, shrug, U+2665). Click any character for instant copy paste text symbols. Turn on Append to Pad to build a line of fancy text symbols, then copy the whole pad. Star favorites, reopen recently copied glyphs, and open any card for the Unicode name, HTML entity, CSS escape, or a PNG from 64px to 1024px. Nothing is uploaded: copy and PNG export happen in your browser. No account, paywall, or app. Characters stay selectable text after you paste — unless you save a PNG for slides, stickers, or design files.
How to copy and paste text symbols
Using this copy and paste text symbols tool is straightforward:
- Search by name, keyword, or code point, or open a collection from the tabs.
- Click any character to copy it. A short toast confirms the copy.
- Paste with Ctrl+V (Windows) or Cmd+V (Mac) into your bio, chat, document, or design app.
- Optional: turn on “Append to Pad” and mix cool text symbols copy and paste strings with normal letters, then copy the whole line.

If a platform strips unsupported characters, paste into Notes first, then copy again. PNG steps: text symbols guide. Mobile walkthrough: copy on iPhone & Android. More articles in the guides section.
Cool, aesthetic, and fancy text symbols
Cool text symbols make a name or caption feel designed: stars, lightning, arrows, dice, and geometric marks. Start with stars, arrows, shapes, and games when you want cool text symbols copy and paste without installing a font.
Aesthetic text symbols lean softer: outlined hearts, florets, sparkles, Japanese corner brackets, and thin divider lines — the usual choice for a quiet Instagram or TikTok layout. The brackets and lines collection is built for those captions.
Fancy text symbols sit between decoration and typography: ornamental quotes, lenticular brackets, music notes, circled letters, and em dashes. Test spacing in the pad before you paste into a live profile. Circled, bold, italic, and squared alphabets live in text symbols letters.
Heart, star, flower, and cute text symbols
Heart text symbols are the most copied glyphs on the internet. Classic ♥ and ♡ work almost everywhere, including older phones that struggle with color emoji. The hearts collection also includes heart text emoji such as ❤ 💖 💕.
Star text symbols (★ ☆ ✦ ✨) mark ratings, favorites, and sparkle in bios and usernames — see the stars list. Flower text symbols and flower text emoji (✿ ❀ ❁ 🌹 🌸) sign off a message or decorate a spring caption; open flowers for florets that survive as text.
Cute text symbols copy and paste usually means Japanese kaomoji: (◕‿◕✿), ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ, (˘ ³˘)♥, and the shrugging text emoji ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Use kaomoji for faces and emojis for color pictures.
Gothic, goth, letters, and weird text symbols
Gothic text symbols and goth text symbols usually mean a darker look: heavy crosses, stark checks and X marks, blackletter-style letters, and geometric blocks. Browse check marks and crosses, religious signs, and fancy letters. Many people also want text symbols letters — Greek, blackboard-bold, script, and circled numbers in Greek and technical signs and math symbols. Weird text symbols include lenny faces, table flips, and comic kaomoji. If an app normalizes fancy letters back to ASCII, fall back to a basic heart or star.
Text emoji meanings on iPhone (shrug, cry, kiss, flower, heart)
A text emoji is still Unicode. Color pictures (😂 😭 😘 🌹 ❤️) can change drawing from iPhone to Android to Windows. Classic dingbats (♥ ★ ✿) stay closer to the same shape on every device — that is why this library mixes both styles. Common text emoji meanings iPhone users look up:
- Shrugging text emoji ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ or 🤷 — “I don’t know,” “not my problem,” or a light joke.
- Crying text emoji 😢 😭 😿 — sadness, overwhelmed joy, or “I’m dead from this.”
- Kiss text emoji 😘 💋 😗 — affection, thanks, or a playful sign-off.
- Flower text emoji 🌹 🌸 🥀 — romance, spring, or a faded rose for something that ended.
- Heart text emoji ❤ 💖 🖤 — love, like, or a mood (black heart is often goth or dry humor).
There is no single official dictionary. Unicode gives a technical name; slang adds another layer. Paste a character into search to see its name, then copy it. More short answers live in the FAQ.
Text symbols list by collection
This text symbols list is grouped by theme. Start with hearts, stars, flowers, fancy letters, kaomoji, gothic letters, and text emoji — then open arrows, checks, currency, math, weather, shapes, brackets, punctuation, religious signs, animals, hands, food, bio symbols, games, and music from the tabs above. Each collection has its own copy-paste grid. Use All Symbols on this homepage to search the whole library. Favorites and recents stay in your browser.
Photoshop, Clipchamp, CLIP STUDIO, Facebook, Google Ads, and keyboards
Design tools accept Unicode in text layers. Copy from this library, then paste into Photoshop’s type tool, Clipchamp captions, or CLIP STUDIO PAINT (クリスタ) speech. If a font cannot draw the glyph, switch to a broad Unicode font (Segoe UI Symbol, Noto Sans Symbols, Apple Symbols) or download a PNG and place the image. Facebook posts, Facebook ads, and Google ads accept many Unicode characters in primary text — keep lines short, avoid zalgo, and test the ad preview. You do not need a special symbols keyboard: this site is the keyboard. Search, tap, paste. Longer notes: Discord, Photoshop & Docs guide.
The same Unicode in other languages
The glyphs on this page are the same characters people search for as símbolos de texto, symboles de texte, Textsymbole, or テキスト記号. Switch the language menu for Español, Français, Deutsch, Português, or 日本語 — or stay here; the catalog does not change. One naming clash: ABAP Textsymbole (TEXT-xxx) in SAP are translatable UI strings, not decorative Unicode. This library will not translate them. Use SAP tools for that job; use this site for hearts, stars, and copy-paste glyphs.
Why copy paste text symbols from this tool
Phone keyboards bury Unicode under layers of menus. Random symbol generators often ship images, pop-ups, or fonts that fail when you paste. Free Text Symbols keeps the job small: a searchable catalog, 1-click copy, optional PNG download, a scratchpad, and developer-friendly code points. Cool, aesthetic, and fancy text symbols, cute faces, gothic and goth text symbols, hearts, stars, text emoji, and a full text symbols list live in one place. If a fancy letter disappears after paste, fall back to ♥ or ★. Search, tap, paste — or download a PNG. Free for personal and commercial use. Read the about page or start copying from the grid above.
